Ryelec Automation

Ryelec is Open Road Co’s other gig. I’ve been the marketing manager and systems integrator for Ryelec for around 5 years now. Ryelec is an electrical, automation, audio and security company that specialises in developing high-end smart homes. I do all the design and marketing work for Ryelec, as well as working with a few of the automation softwares the company uses to program automation systems. Essentially developing apps that people can control their entire homes or commercial spaces with. My work with Ryelec has seen me take on incredible multi-million dollar smart homes/venues and develop highly tailored apps to suit the space and be as user friendly as possible. Apps that are displayed on beautiful walls, and used on the clients phone every day. I have pushed the limits of what has been done with these softwares before, and taken home automation within Australia to new levels. I have developed 4 graphical user interface packages for a popular software that other integrators can purchase and use on their projects to develop their apps. This has seen my designs be used internationally. My latest design, Zenith, is developed for either residential or commercial projects, in various device options and saves people countless hours of programming but results in really great apps. The software comes completely blank, but loading the Zenith file in provides them with 550+ icons, 100+ backgrounds, custom CSS code and scripting, and a sample page layout and navigational setup for all the common inclusions of an automation system.

Ryelec was the beginning of my design career and I’ve self-taught myself a lot along the way - loving the creative freedom and mental challenge that programming provides. I've worked on some pretty rad jobs and love the thought of my designs being used around the world in cool buildings. You can see some career highlights below ~
